Introduction from El Paso Texas

Hello everyone my name is Paul Prati im a life long gearhead and automotive enthusiast from El Paso, Texas I been modifying and tinkering with everything since before I can remember. Come from a long line of similar minded individuals so I was introduced to motorsports at a young age. Im an automotive master technician by trade and I own several modified vehicles . I like racing of all kinds, I've done quite a bit of drag racing , autocross and a bit of road racing as well. I have considered building a cobra kit car for many years now but couldnt justify the investment for such a limited use vehicle. I stumbled across the DFgoblin while doing research for the FFR 818 and it instantly caught my attention. I gotta be honest It was "love at first sight" I placed the order a few days later after a little reseach. I Ordered the extended kit with full roll cage. Im chassis #324 and I plan to pick up in person. I just found my donor as well its a 2008 sport coupe 2.4l with 112k and manual trans runs and drives well. I got it for a decent price so I think im off to a good start. I really wanted a SS/TC but couldnt find any in my price range I plan to keep looking and if I find one ill make the current donor the tow Rig . Cant wait to get this project underway!!! Heres a few pics of my donor I been having fun driving it like it is I can only imagine how much fun the goblin is gonnabe...from

Welcome to the forum!

Looks like a good donor. Manual will still make it fun. You might be surprised at the performance of the 2.4L with the manual in this car. The good thing is the engine is easy to remove for upgrades or swap if you ever come across the SS/TC. But I think you will still enjoy the 2.4L in the meantime.

It's crazy to think there are 324 kits built or on order.

Make sure to create a build log when you get to that point.

Nice to see another goblin getting built in the general area! As for your donor, the 2.4 SS are probably just as hard to find as an LNF for a donor. ZZP makes good SC and TC kits for na Ecotecs if you want more power in the future. Good choice getting the full roll cage, its probably the one thing I wish i could change. Congrats
