V1 Justin Reed Racing DF Goblin

M
Did DF make the knuckle as well? That machined part from the shock to the knuckle is interesting. I would guess that the geometry has to remain the same so no space gained to run a wider tire?

I love love love your videos and usage of the car pretty much what I do with my fun cars.
I have a C5 and didn't know that consumables are so ridiculous, makes me want a goblin.
Thanks for the updates and that subframe looks amazing.
What class are you in for Gridlife btw?
I was only allowed to run advanced HPDE at gridlife. They don’t allow open wheel cars for time attack for some reason

Notes: Track is extremely abrasive but has decent grip. The first track day I've had when traffic wasn't an issue made me aware of my inferior brakes. Running full beans the brakes only last a lap and a half before shuttering the car violently and fading extremely fast. Other than that the car was happy all day with the setup working quite well. Fairly stable under braking with slight movement and a secure corner entry and planted center. Slightly loose upon playing with throttle mid corner for better turn on slower corners and slightly loose on corner exit mainly due to trying to put the power down.

What brake pads? Are you running the stock brake booster setup?
Stock pads because they don’t make performance pads for the base model unfortunately. No brake booster since I’m running a wilwood pedal box. The pads are so glazed they’re practically useless unless you get at least some heat in them now

Would a set of drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads make a difference over the stock rotors and pads? Maybe?

Or these?
Those are ss brakes, I’m running stock base model brakes to fit my wheels

Thanks guys! In case anyone is confused what they’re talking about, I’ll post the winning run below!
Pine Mountain hillclimb was one of the more frustrating hillclimbs for me due to the tight low speed corners and just terrible surface in general. Turbo is way to big for the tight switchbacks and am already looking into other turbo options to keep the car ahead of the field. There was some time left on the hill due to turbo lag for sure…. Here’s my setup sheet from the event as well! NOTE: this isn’t a magic setup and will not plug and play to yours. Saying this because I’ve had a few try and complain. Setups are relative to driving style and what the car will be doing.
