V1 LSJ Fronts+Solstice Rear: Brake Prop Valve Front/Rear?

Hi All,

I'm running LSJ front brakes with solstice (parking brake) rears and have an extra Tilton brake proportioning valve laying around that I'd like to install. The LSJ brakes are bigger than the 2.2L/base brakes normally supplied, but the LSJ piston is smaller. It's hard to say how that equates to brake bias so I wanted to reach out to verify if I should be limited pressure on my front brakes, or rear brakes.

I have a couple questions:
1) is the brake prop valve kit that DF sells installed on the front brakes (reducing front brake pressure)? From what I can gather, it looks like they built it for the front.
2) Does anyone have LSJ front/Solstice rear with a prop valve? Is yours installed on the front or rear? Should I be installing mine on the front, or rear?

Thank you!

I ran LSJ front brakes with solstice rears, and the DF brake bias on the front. Worked great.
Without the brake bias valve, the fronts had too much traction, limiting rear ability to help. I ran the same tires front and rear.

Nail the brakes and see which ones lock first?

I would but the car isn't currently driving yet... I wanted to install a bias valve before I have to bleed everything.

Awesome, thanks for confirming! I'll put the bias valve on the front brakes so I can choke those off as needed.
