So as you saw I sold Goblin 1.0 and as expected any potential buyer wants to get the price down, I was able to do this buy modifying what came with the car.
The price was negotiated down by 2K by removing things that don't help the car move down the road and that I will reuse on Kit 2.0
1. The Wing (left wing uprights on car)
2. The Music Sound-Bar
3. Swapping out Custom Vinyl Wrapped Hood and Engine Covers for brand new raw hood that came with Kit 2.0
I had just finished moving the Windshield over to the new hood when I discovered that I could not get the two brackets of the hood to line up with the frame mounting.
The hoods are different depending on your frame, kit 2.0 does not have Full Cage so there was not material removed from the new hood to clear the tubes of the frame that go up to the halo. I sent the Title up to him yesterday via FedEX and included two simple templates so that he can modify the hood.
So after that long story what would be the easiest tool\method for the new owner to cut away that small amount of material, a small Dremel tool with a cutoff disk?
Here is a sample of the template I sent him that has the existing curve and then the additional one, with the small hole that the windshield mounts to allow him to line it up.
