Hey guys, my name is Scott. I'm lucky enough to live right in Red Oak Texas which is obviously where DF is located. I've followed along for years now and in the very near future will hopefully be starting on my own goblin.
I'm looking at some donors now and my main question is about one specific one I've found. It runs and drives, is up for auction in a couple days, but is just marked as a Florida certificate of destruction. I've been researching rules, laws, etc and it all seems that it's fine to use a car that is branded as "non-repairable" for parts as it just can't ever be registered for road use itself as a whole vehicle. It will obviously go for a fantastically low price for a running and driving car since the title only permits it for part/scrap use and not road use. Does anybody have any insight that could possibly get in the way of using that sort of branded title for a donor vehicle?
Thanks in advance!
