V1 Odometer to Zero - Yay!

A local guy loaned us a programmer to write to the M95080 chip located in the BCM.
My son Austin and I used it to read our chip and found the location of the odometer's memory and set it to zero.

Great find! So if you found the location, can it be set to 4000 miles, and be rewritten to the BCM?

@Lonny did you change offset 0000 and 0010? Did you happen to note the previous mileage and buffer value before you made the change?

@Ross If I'm reading the chip specs correctly, one should be able to adjust the value to any arbitrary number with the programmer.

Looks like the chip is similar to this.

Looks like one of these would work.

What a rabbit hole... I guess I'll see how easy this is this weekend.... I found some details on the offsets and my buddy has a programmer that supports that chip....

Nicely done @Yustas! I was going to buy a $100 programmer, but now you have me looking into cheaper ones.
Once I succeed, I will be willing to do it for others.
The rivets need to be drilled out of the BCM to get at the motherboard. Do you just glue the plastic halves back together after you finish? Those rivets are specialty riv nuts, so I am guessing you can't buy new ones.
