Scrapping the Shell

Hi guys, i am almost done taking about my 08 TC. i have been calling around Chicago land area to see how to get rid of this shell but my only luck i have gotten is places that need titles to get rid of it. anyone that can point me in the right direction i would completely appreciate it!

Do you not have a title? That is the norm for them as a requirement.

Chop it up and sell the parts for scrap. That's exactly what I am going to have to do.

That is about your 2 choices.
Surrender the title to the scrap yard.
Or Cut it into smaller pieces and scrap it a little at a time

Depends on the state really. When I scrapped my shell, I had to sign the title over to the junkyard. Fortunately, I saved my original bill of sale for the donor along with proof of registration, and I didn't have any issues.

Same here, I have BOS, Copy of the Title, Receipt from the scrap yard.

I never switched the title into my name.

I called several local scrap yards and none wanted mine unless i dropped it off. So I rolled the frame out to the driveway on wooden dollies and posted an add in CL for free scrap metal. 5 or so tire kickers then a guy asked for address and said he'd have it gone it a week. Few days later it was gone. Very happy day for me!

Man I was just talking to him, how well do you know him? He is one town over from me. He’s asking how much I want for my shell. Heard any bad stories? I don’t even know a decent price? Lol
