V1 The wife’s Goblin, 2007 L61 F23

You need the 24x crank reluctor wheel off the 2.2 L61 or 2.0 LSJ if you want to run a 2.4 LE5 block and rotating assembly with an L61 head. Other than that there are no concerns AFAIK.
I thought the '07 L61 had a 58x reluctor?

Did a few simple things for the wife while her and the kids went to spring break without me. I relocated the tag, moved the ambient light sensor and installed her hula girl :)

Oooh, luggage rack. Luxury in this car, as I only have a pocket in the back of the seat. :)
I like the hula girl too. Nice touch.

Emmett and I took the Goblin out today and put about 150 miles on it after I finally installed the critter splitter. The splitter doesn’t appear like it would work as well as it does. I’m really happy with how it handles and feels at road speeds. Next is the wrap after the wife decides what she wants. I was going to wait until after getting it wrapped to install the splitter but I really wanted to try it.

It’s amazing what a little piece of flat metal does on the front. I didn’t believe it either until I tried it. It really pushed down the front for what it is.

It does look like much but it makes a yuge difference. Noticeable at anything above 40-45 mph. I believe this is a must have item, unless a builder is doing a front wing (wang?).

be careful at GF25, Rttoys and I can attest that you’ll redecorate the gravel driveway with the front splitter….

Emmett and I went to a cruise-in and got lunch while we were there and rode through where the tornado went through Grand Junction a few weeks ago and stopped at the gun shop on the way home. We stopped for ice cream and also hit up tractor supply for a tiller belt and almost forgot the most important part about the entire trip. Y’all can laugh about the wife’s luggage rack but it works great

Anyone have any input or comparable recommendations on a clutch kit ? I’m planning on building a supercharged 2.2 but the current stock clutch just isn’t real happy with the way I treat it :). I’m thinking of going with a zzp stage 2 and aluminum flywheel. Looking for experiences that may help me determine if the stage two will be sufficient for the future build or possibly the stage three.

I went stage 3 for my 2.2 and it's workable but kind of an on off switch compared to stock. Trust me because I now switch between a 2.2L stock manual Cobalt daily and the Goblin. The stock one feels like a joke in comparison. It's absolutely manageable though, just takes a bit of getting used to. The only time I really have trouble with it anymore is driving home after leg day at the gym

I put a new GMPP clutch in my goblin. I was wanting a clutch that can take more power & abuse, but still keep the stock feel when feathering the clutch. The puck clutches tend to be grabby, and harder to street drive. They take more power, but don't last as long. The GMPP clutch still has a full contact patch, and I didn't notice a difference on the clutch pedal, but can handle about 50% more power.
I also kept the heavy stock flywheel for the same reason.
I'm not sure how much extra clutch a goblin needs, as cutting the vehicle weight in half, also cuts the drivetrain shock in half... but I do like 2nd gear rubber on demand. :)
