Upper Strut Mount

I have not seen any videos showing how the upper strut mount and strut is assembled. Is it mounted solid on top , or is there a bit of pivot needed ?

Here is the top of the struts. The silver aluminum part has a ball swivel. I'm not sure it is needed

Thanks Robinio ! I will add spacers to make up distance from strut bearing and mount the struts solid
