Donor bearing hub

you have to remove that abs sensor and then cap the bearring, or order a set of hubs that don't have the abs sensor and use those. They're around $80-90 per hub from any autoparts store.

I used my sensored hubs. I had to cut the sensor off, but the hub still works as a bearing.
Adam can sell you some new caps so they don't interfer with the steering arm.
If you order new hubs, then get them without a sensor, but since you already have those hubs, you can modify them.

How did you cut them off? Just the sensor or the whole cap?

Also available are bearing hubs that don't have the sensor and have a nice steel cap that fits the hub uprights. Note, these are 5 lug hubs.
Where do I get such? I've been to O'reilly, NAPA, and Rock Auto. I can get 5 bolt with sensor or 4 bolt without.

In my build log it states the hubs are Malibu drum brake non-ABS, not Cobalt hubs. That's why I supplied the link so you can read the information for yourself.

Unfortunately, I didn’t find any 5 stud hubs without abs. There is a thread on the forum somewhere that details the part number for a 5 stud abs model with the shorter sensor that works with the DF assembly. Believe the part number is also in the assembly videos.

MOOG 512285 Wheel Bearing are 5x110mm hubs, just pop the ABS cover off, and put on the DF purchased cover on (lower right in image).

ISSUE IS RESOLVED!!! Went to the local pick-your-parts place, every single Malibu had ABS. Went to my favorite parts store, told them Malibu w/o ABS, and there it was! If anybody else needs, the O'Reilly part# is 512287. Thanks for all the help.
