How did you cut them off? Just the sensor or the whole cap?I used my sensored hubs. I had to cut the sensor off, but the hub still works as a bearing.
Adam can sell you some new caps so they don't interfer with the steering arm.
If you order new hubs, then get them without a sensor, but since you already have those hubs, you can modify them.
Where do I get such? I've been to O'reilly, NAPA, and Rock Auto. I can get 5 bolt with sensor or 4 bolt without. Also available are bearing hubs that don't have the sensor and have a nice steel cap that fits the hub uprights. Note, these are 5 lug hubs.

Wish I was cool, my AC just decided to crap out. It's 103 in Phoenix! on the same day they were talking about snow on the east coast. weird weather pattern.dfkitcar.com
The part number on bearing is HB612289, from Auto Shack.com (copied from DS build post)Where do I get such? I've been to O'reilly, NAPA, and Rock Auto. I can get 5 bolt with sensor or 4 bolt without.

Here is the pictures when I did this. I think I just used my angle grinder with a thin 1.5mm blade. How did you cut them off? Just the sensor or the whole cap?
Went on Auto Shack. All their hub bearings were ABS.The part number on bearing is HB612289, from Auto Shack.com (copied from DS build post)
The plastic does not come off. Right under that is a split in the metal. Take a thin screwdriver or a chisel and separate that using a hammer. The cap comes right off. Here is the pictures when I did this. I think I just used my angle grinder with a thin 1.5mm blade.
Were you looking for ones for the Cobalt?Went on Auto Shack. All their hub bearings were ABS.
Correct, If he was looking for cobalts almost all of them are ABSIn my build log it states the hubs are Malibu drum brake non-ABS, not Cobalt hubs. That's why I supplied the link so you can read the information for yourself.

My error, DS. I missed it. Thanks for sticking with me. I will visit the parts store tomorrow with better info. BTW, what year/trim/etc. did you use?In my build log it states the hubs are Malibu drum brake non-ABS, not Cobalt hubs. That's why I supplied the link so you can read the information for yourself.
Thanks. Desert Sasquatch sent a reply stating Malibu drum brake hubs will work. I will be going to the parts store tomorrow and checking it out.Non-abs 4 post front: https://www.autozone.com/suspension-steering-tire-and-wheel/wheel-bearing-hub-assembly-front/moog-wheel-bearing-hub-assembly-513205/698554_120629_22589

Unfortunately, I didn’t find any 5 stud hubs without abs. There is a thread on the forum somewhere that details the part number for a 5 stud abs model with the shorter sensor that works with the DF assembly. Believe the part number is also in the assembly videos.
MOOG 512285 Wheel Bearing are 5x110mm hubs, just pop the ABS cover off, and put on the DF purchased cover on (lower right in image).Non-abs 4 post front: https://www.autozone.com/suspension-steering-tire-and-wheel/wheel-bearing-hub-assembly-front/moog-wheel-bearing-hub-assembly-513205/698554_120629_22589
