Inside the Throttle Sensor

Just in case you ever wondered what exactly is inside the throttle sensor. Of the four wipers, there are two sets. Two of each of the long pads are solid low resistance (basically a wire) and the other pad is variable resistive material. It's interesting all of the other black pads are inline resistors. As Kaleb suggested, much of this may be for redundancy and detecting faults with the sensor.
