Installing engine cover

Anyone have advice or a video on how to put on and take off the engine cover? We are having a hard time and it seems like the process would tear up the
eventual vinyl wrap. Thanks in advance.

I cut that trailing lip off the back of my panels. My paint guy also rounded up the edges before painting. The lip being gone allows me to put in and take out the covers while my seats are still bolted in (without scratching the paint!). And the rounding of the edges visually cleans up that center cut line.
EDIT: I also made the drilled holes in the fiberglass larger. It helped overall with fitment.

After paint.

With the third brake light installed.

That looks great. I was thinking of doing the same thing. Do you have any thoughts about it after having done it? Or is there anything you wish you knew before?

I’m not using my covers anymore since I switched over to turbo. When I was using them I was 100% happy with them after modding them. I can’t think of anything I’d do differently.
