NineLivesRacing Rear Diffuser

Old thread, I know, but I've been looking at all 3 items from 9LR for my Goblin, bad part $3200 plus shipping/wait times.... :( They said the diffuser wasn't necessary if I wasn't going to track it, but it make the subframe/rear end look a little better and I'm sure it does something for the airflow underneath the Goblin? Judging by the pics on this post, it looks like I would have to drill holes in the diffuser/subframe and install rivnuts myself? I was hoping for the price it costs, no drilling would be required?
They have the rear diffuser at the 'Go away, we don't really want to do these but if you're willing to spend way too much money on it I guess we will' price. Yes you have to mount the NLR on on your own (I 100% agree with you).

Diffusers are typically considered a consumable and can be made out of alumalite or plywood (that gets painted or wrapped). There are a few other cost effective options for diffusers (read this thread). They aren't necessary but it does help.

You can make a diffuser yourself with a little work and put that $1k into something else on your car.

Extend the end strakes closer to the ground with wearable/replaceable strips available at your local garden center.
