NRG Quick Release

I HATE this option more than the ugly DF wheel. It would put the wheel like in my chest. The stock wheel is already far back. Now you're adding an adapter to an adapter to a quick release to a wheel that's more than likely more dished. That would be the worst.
You do you. I'm not a skinny guy and the wheel is comfortably a good foot away from my torso. Just trying to help.

The thick aluminum 'soda can' - seen in @Rttoys pics - can be sectioned and made shorter to move the steering wheel and QR hub adapter further away from you.

Until you have your steering assembly installed and seats in the car, it is hard to judge how much actual distance there is between you and the steering wheel. Highly recommend doing this fit check before thinking about making any drastic modifications.

I love the close to chest steering wheel. Everything else feels too far away, except maybe my 1989 Dodge Ramcharger.

Ive got the seats in and have a lot of seat time in the car. My biggest complaint has been the wheel so close & the turn signal switch being too close.

Stage 1 complete.

This is the weird splines to 6x70mm standard hole adapter flange I made. It puts the wheel closer to the dash(where I think it belongs) & eliminates the need for a quick attach adapter or any other assortment of adapters. All you need with this is a NRG race hub.

Stage 2 is to get a bearing on it so its supported like the "stock" DF one.

I'll. Update when that gets sorted. This adapter cost me less than $2.00 to make so far.
