Square peg, round hole

So it appears that DF now includes 1/2" carraige bolts to attach the subframe:

The hole in the frame and the hole in the subframe are both round, so should this bolt be pressed into the frame, down through the subframe, or pressed into the subframe and up through the frame?

Also not sure why the carraige bolt is a better option than the original OEM subframe bolts...

Nut goes topside. Im not sure the reason for the carriage bolt. Maybe they were worried about a edge hitting the coolant hose on a hex head.

That's the reason and that's they way it's been for a while at least, if not the entire history of the Gobln. The square does bite into the subframe real well and is a great solution to be able to torque the subframe hardware without abrading the coolant hoses.
