Squeaky heim joints

I'll have to ask my dad. When I first got it street legal I drove it to his place and we noticed it squeaking. He put some WD40-esque spray lubricant on it and it hasn't squeaked since. It wasn't WD-40 though. Might have been chain lube lol.

It was chain lube. Its meant to cling so that makes some sorta sense

Wet lube works, but is generally not advised because of dirt issues and potential incompatibility with the working elements of the joint.

I've had 3 of my heims loosen up and start clunking. I bought higher quality ones from a local race shop. Replaced in pairs. Have not had those start making noise.

I used WD40 and haven't had an issue. Once a year I do a total maintenance on it which includes the WD40. No squeaks yet!
