V1 Anti-Theft

K
No luck, I unplugged the battery and the anti-theft is still locking me out. Is there something that I might be doing wrong? Seems crazy that a new key wouldn't be able to be reprogrammed again.

Ark :D
The reprogram process takes a minimum of 30 minutes, but you posted 13 minutes after you tried it again. Are you sure you're doing it right?

(This post not intended to sound any sort of way!)

No you are correct but the anti-theft light turns off every 10 minutes and it hasn't been turning off after that amount of time. Basically, it is 3 cycles of 10 minutes of having the car on until the anti-theft light turns off.

I think you have other problems than the security light. You have wiring or data wire connection issues. The security light will illuminate for weird reasons. On the way back from getting my Goblin inspected for renewal, the converter check happened and failed which illuminated the check engine light (as it should) as well as the security light. Upon getting home, cycled the car off then back on, and the security light went out but the check engine light remained (as it should). Fix the other issue because I think that is holding the car back and not the key. Could also be loose sensor at the ignition switch.

Ok got it, so if I do have loose connections how do I test for those. Also what kind of things would I test in the data connections? Very new to wiring and I only have a multi-meter.

does the machine gun noise sound like relays? can you take the lid off the fuse box and have someone crank the engine while you listen to find the sound source. also I had to crank down on the fuse box bolts to get those connectors to all seat.

K
Yes it does sound like relays, unfortunately I won't be able to replicate the issue without getting the anti-theft to turn off. I might just go out and get another key at this point, it is just very expensive.

can you take some pictures of your engine and ground bolts and alternator and post them i will look over your wiring
the wiring around the ignition and pedals also please

also want to check to see if you have the transmission to frame ground installed

here are some photos:

Also the anti theft light just turned off after doing the other reprogramming procedure, I have only gotten through the first two and I am on the third. When the light turned off the relays started making a lot of clicks again, not sure if that means anything.
