Looking good! I don’t know if you have any help, but I tore mine down by myself. If that’s the case tear the dash apart in the car. The dash is even heavier than one of the doors.
And don’t forget to lower car to make easier to lift out, I didn’t notice until after wife and I lifted that heavy thing. And realized it would have been a lot easier if I had lowered car
Live and learn, I still had lifted up high from getting engine out. Of course I never mentioned I should have lowered car first to wife.

I wonder if that is the easier way of doing it. I cut the dash frame out in the steering wheel area of my donor. The wiring is all that is needed from the passenger side. Driver's side needs the pedals, steering, instrument cluster & wiring. Can't think of anything else that is useful. The dash is sooooo heavy, that I ended up scaring my shifter knob when I removed it. Wish I didn't.

PS, every time I see your pictures, it reminds me of stripping my blue LSJ donor. Love it!

I managed to drop the subframe this afternoon. I had the same problem others have had. The rear passenger side nut spinning in the frame. I had to cut a hole in the passenger floor to get access. I then cut the cage off and welded the nut to car body. I was able to remove the bolt, but now the sleeve is frozen to the bolt shank.

No way man I'm not popping those... My plan is to give them to friends so they can have fun with them.
I got a little further than this pictures, carpet is out and a few other things. I'm at a point where I need to decide front suspension and engine or rear suspension a fuel tank. I'm going to weld swivel casters to the frame so I can move it afterwards.

That is exactly what I am going to do. I bought some 8" fixed casters from Harbor Freight and weld them just behind the CG of the carcass to be able to wheel it around without the crushed furniture dollys issues people have. I was going to save the posting til a result (good or bad), but wanted to let you know someone is thinking along the same lines.

Or get a set of vehicle dollies from HF. The plain steel ones are pretty good and take a lot of abuse - I know I have. These are usually on sale - or a coupon - for about $35 per pair. Get the set of 4 and makes it much easier to use under your frame or car to move around and they are reusable. ;)

I set the body down on the frame of my engine stand. The upright portion with the receiving tube for the motor attachment plate comes off so it's bascially just three pieces of square steel tubing in a U shape with casters. Worked a treat.

Are you concerned with the flooring in your shop supporting the concentrated weight of casters? Regardless of what they're attached to.

My problem is moving it through soft dirt and grass. I have backed off of welding them to the frame (don't want to lose them when I scrap the shell.)
So now i'm thinking of building a furniture style dolly with the casters I have a 2x6's.

Rauq: Not really worried about the weight and floor. It's on jack stands right now with the engine and trans still in the car. Once it hits the casters it's going down the ramp and out of the building.

I am also not worried about the floor but moving up and down shallow steps and expansion joints that little 2" caster wheels cannot manage. They were $14 each so in the scheme of things it is not a big waste.

If I have to support getting the shell onto a trailer, then I want to make as easy as I can as I don't have engine hoists, front end loaders or other toys that some people have. But I do have a cheap HF welder.

I bought the swivel version of those casters.

The LSJ alternator pulley is a one way pulley, (overrunning alternator decoupler) that will only work if driven the other way.
You might be able to switch to a different Ecotec alternator or OAD pulley, so that it will work.
