Is cutting the early model switch and arm necessary for hood clearance? My K22D baggy didn't come with a 5/8" coated clamp, so I'm not sure if it's necessary on mine or not.

Yes, cutting is necessary per Adam. We were not aware that the 5/8" coated clamp was needed till Lonny started the build video on this section. The clamp would be needed for any early model if you are planning on running cruise control, if not, it won't be needed.

We'll should be adding this item to the store asap for anyone that would like one.

Interesting, thanks Adam for clearing it up! Coated clamps are cheap and easy to come by so no worries!
