V1 DF rear kit installation questions

J
Having some issues with the rear brakes.
- are the nipples on the brake pad supposed to line up with the holes in the caliper?

It looks like regardless of which pad I try on the outside, it interferes with the bracket see picture below.

How do I retract the calipers on these brakes? Are they the screwing type or can I use a clamp to push them in?

It really just seems like the pads don't fit properly. I'm wondering if I have the right parts?

Can’t really tell anything about you alignment pictures but the holes in the piston do not match up with rivets in the pad. Put the wider spaced side by side rivets straddling the piston and the vertical rivets to the other side of the caliper.

I got the pads installed. I didn't realize there was as much play in the assembly as there was.
Next question, anyone have an interference issue with the disc and the brake bracket? Rubs on the outside of the disc to the point I can barely turn the wheel with it torque on. I made sure there's nothing between the disc and the wheel bearing holding it out. The other side isn't as bad, but it does rub as well.
I might need to add a washer to space out the adapter that holds the assembly?

I had to add a washer to get the disc centered on the bracket, so that's where I would start.

Also, make sure the disc is fully seated on the hub. I thought mine was off more on one side but turned out the disc wasn't all the way on. Use lugs and a deadblow to seat it and rotate it to make sure there's no wobble.

Figured I'd add my post here as I'm having something similar...my fitment/interference issue is the caliper bracket to hub/wheel carrier. It seems the castings are causing issue and I'll have to shave some off? Which I'm trying to avoid because I've had it all powder coated already.

Picture for reference. You can see, just below the bolt head to the left, with the bottom bolted on and the top rotated away to show alignment at full tightened position, the two would clearly touch... I've tried a spacer/washer but it's moved it out too far then and the back of the bracket touches the rotor. It is like this on the top and bottom of both left and right side calipers

I've emailed/called DF but no response yet. I know they can be delayed with getting back to us sometimes. I'm guessing the bracket was designed around the base model upright? Not sure here.

You can use washers to shim the caliper left or right, so that the brake disc is in the middle.

I did try that but the washer I had may have been too thick. Although, without a shim, it would seem centered over the rotor so don't think that will solve the issue entirely.

From posting in the FB group, it seems DF had supplied them shaved already. Not sure why mine were not as they are from them. I'll try to give Lonnie a call tomorrow.
