V1 DF tubular subframe install, tech and reviews

We did our first track day with the new subframe. 80ish mph 3rd to 4th shift, straight as an arrow, hard on the brake, div into corners, all stable .

Adam sent me an email confirming that my DF Goblin factory built F40 compatible Tubular Subframe is ready for shipping/pickup. He told me that DF now has a jig to make it and I believe is currently or it will be very soon offered in their standard catalog. I don't know when that it will be on option on the website but if you email him I believe it is a ready for purchase. So yeah..... I have Goblin #515 but F40 Tubular Subframe #001.

I used the factory strut bolts in the wife’s Goblin and we’ve put almost 2,000 miles and they haven’t moved yet

Would anyone happen to have the GM part number for OEM strut bolts? Before installing my tubular frame, I was running those eccentric camber bolts with the OEM knuckles on the top hole and OEM strut bolts on the bottom hole. Since the billet upright is oval, those camber bolts can't really be used as designed so I'd like to get 2 new OEM strut bolts to replace them with.

Do you have a similar mount or bracket on the LNF, or are there bolt hole locations that you could source an LSJ bracket to install?

Bracket interfere with the subframe. it has to be removed and not put back on. The pump straps to the frame. Df provides you with clamps. You‘ll see it when you get there. 4 bolts and the pump and bracket are out of your way.

Ooo, just a little loose Haha. Could you trim those clamps and re-drill a hole to get a tighter fit until you get/make a more solid bracket?
Wonder if the LNF pump diameter is a different size than the LSJ pump and you were sent the wrong size clamp.

The LNF has no donor 'factory' bracket for an intercooler pump - was an air-to-air intercooler - only what was supplied by DF.

I would have to believe the intercooler pumps supplied by DF are the same - Bosch? - having two different pumps to perform the same function doesn't make business sense.

The space shown could also be made up with a rubber spacer of some sort that the clamp will grip against.

Does the traditional mount method not fit with the tubular subframe?

Mine came with a diamond-shaped plate and a banjo clamp, and mounts right to the block or the oil pan.

I think how I have it is the intended design. If not, the zip ties I used will aid my install from moving.

The original design does not fit with the tubular subframe.
