You are missing the fancy new coolant reservoir bracket. The res doesn’t just hang there.

Revisiting the quoted post ... when I ordered the remainder of my kit, I asked Adam to include the new mounting bracket for the coolant reservoir. But, my frame must be a slightly older revision (??) because it has an arm specifically for mounting the coolant reservoir. Since mine still has the plastic tab on it, I think I will do it the old way and send the new mount/hardware back to DF.

It looks the same as mine. They could eliminate that bung right there.

It took some figuring out, but this is how it goes. Any other way and the hose is too close to the air intake. I also needs to cut that tab off to clean it up. Oh and I had to shave down the side of the bracket (you can see the unpainted part I had to touch up after the pic) just a tad to fit better on the frame. I guess the powder coating was thick enough to make everything a bit tight.

Got the plates today! My wife and I took it for about 130 mile trip and ripped around some great roads. It's smooth, fast, and super predictable. Total blast!

I have to admit, I don't like the attention it gets. I knew it going in, but you can't go anywhere without someone wanting to chat you up. I know for some that's part of the fun. I guess it comes with the territory.

Congrats on your first drive! They are fun.
I need to add some DF Goblin stickers to my car. People want to know what it is... stickers might be easier.
Is your #1 cylinder running cold? I only have about 20 miles on this header.

130 miles!!!??? Holy cow!! Awesome!!
I have not ventured more than about 10 miles from home yet, and I have over 230 miles total so far.

Don't like the attention?? With that "in your face" striking pink??? You will stand out in a Goblin gathering!!!! :)

The coolant cap has a built in overflow. Did you lose any coolant with your tank in that position?

There is no social distancing when you stop some place with these.

I have a video on my You tube channel of a guy at Home Depot giving it a close once over. Then he just kept asking questions as I buckled in. Get used to it or go out early or late when no one is out.

It calms down after a while for places that you go frequently. Road trips are another story....

I've said it before and I'll say it again ... I really like the bubble-gum-and-cotton-candy look, it's a real eye-catcher!

Does your lower control arm contact the frame at full droop with the longer shocks ? I was considering longer shocks for the front also because it lifts the inside front on corners. Qa1’s also has double adjustable that was a consideration.

D
No contact at all. Could do another 3/4-1" or so before there's contact. I considered the double adjustable as well, but I don't think I'm a good enough driver for that to make much difference.
