V1 Filling with coolant

I was only able to get a half gallon in before the coolant stopped flowing. I put a radiator cap on the other side by where the hose connects to the engine. Is there any reason I shouldn't fill it from this side as well? Thanks!

You can. It won't hurt anything to fill it from both sides.
I recall that it takes about 2 or 3 drives to get all the air out of the engine coolant system. I carry some with me in case the stop is long enough for the coolant to cool enough to fill

Jack the rear up high and fill from both sides and you likely won't have to bleed it much. That's what I've been doing with great success

Does the SC have the banjo fitting on the head for the steam port? If so, you can add fluid in there also. You can also try squeezing the main coolant lines.

The best way is to use a vacuum filling tool.

I used the fitting on the head with a long clear hose to pull a little vacuum as I warmed it up and added more coolant. Really helped get those last bits of air trapped to come out.
