V1 gasketless sealing

Am finding critical mating surfaces (e.g., supercharger-to-intercooler) where no gasket was used during original/factory assembly (of an LSJ engine). What, if any, kind of sealer should be used during reassembly?

(It's old-school but am tempted to use common wheel-bearing grease.)

Where exactly are you talking about? Haven't noticed a mating surface on the supercharger or intake plenum that hasn't had a gasket yet.

Never heard of of wheel bearing grease as a sealer, but i'm not old and gasket maker is pretty cheap and readily available.

You should be using this gasket if we are thinking of the same mating surface:

Engines are using fewer and fewer gaskets these days. I don’t know about the supercharger specifically but there’s no gasket on the oil pan etc. Normal RTV should work fine. If you want to go overboard this works best.
