My older ('06) donor had a spring clip retainer for the fuzzy brake pedal bushing instead of a threaded fastener attaching the pedal to the brake booster pushrod. I'm pretty sure it was missing on the donor; anyway, I don't have it now. Any thoughts on sourcing a replacement? Do I even need it?
That foam bushing just holds the pushrod over. My brakes were sticking if the foam was put in the wrong place.
Do you have some foam or rubber hose you could cut to shape and put in there? Or a small spring... anything to hold it over a bit.
The spring clip retainer is needed to keep the foam & pushrod in place.
