I wish I would have thought about that before I sent mine off to the powder coater. I didnt even test fit it and didnt realize how vertical it is.... Only thing I dont like about the car.I don't have any finished pictures at the moment, but I changed the rake of the windshield bracket from ~73* to 50* and it looks much less like a wall and gives the windshield a bit of a curve. The metal mounting tabs are easy enough to bend in a small vice. You will have to redrill the hood on the outer edge holes to make the metal bracket fit the curvature of the hood. With the new angle, it effectively shortens the windshield which means less needs to be removed if going even shorter.
Thanks Lonny for the cutting tips. If any other members have cut their windshield with success and have any feedback please share.
Yea... I think I will wait till the paint has fully gassed out so I can wrap it. Then I will bend them tabs back.Adjusting the tabs on the windshield frame is not too tough, but the bottom edge of the frame will have to be re-contoured to not make contact with the hood. The windshield can be bent back to match the angle of the a-pillars and still have 'knuckle room' between the steering wheel and the plexiglass.

Meh. I put Mazda Miata seats in my CJ with the speakers in the headrest. Decent sound, right at my ears. :Ddfkitcar.com

Take your helmet off and let the wind blow through your hair. One downside of bending the tabs is wind buffeting while wearing a helmet. At ~70mph I had wind clipping just the top of my helmet to the point it was hard to see and became a safety issue. I have since removed the windscreen and take the wind on 100% and it's been a much better (but not ideal) experience at speed.
Kind of hoping DF is working on a windscreen solution which overcomes the scratchyness of the polycarb. and the angle at which it sits while being aesthetic at the same time - form and function.
