I am so confused with what's going on here.
I read people say to order the Cobalt HUB adapter which is the SRK-177H. https://getnrg.com/products/srk-177h
So I did.
It is so far from fitting it doesn't even make sense. The cobalt shaft is a GM 36 spline. The DF Goblin has a 23 spline. How are people on here saying this is the correct HUB adapter, I've seen quite a few people recommend that part number.
I also saw some people recommend a weld on adapter. So I looked up NRG's weld on adapter, here. https://getnrg.com/collections/race-short-hub/products/srk-swh-1
But they only sell the weld on adapters in stainless & aluminum. How the f*** am I supposed to weld aluminum or stainless to a mild steel steering shaft. That doesn't make any sense to me either.
i've called NRG a few days in a row now and can't get a response and dont' see a way to email them on their "contact us" section on their website.
What am I missing here, what are these people recommending these things doing that I can't figure out.
I'm about to just cut the splines off and weld a new shaft to the old shaft which I'd rather not do as it's sketchy as hell.
