Project Undertow #388

Traé
This is still working, I utilized it last week.

Alright, time for an update.

Seems that when the car was at the dealership before I received the car, it was quoted a new fuse block due to not having the mount and the block just "floating" in the engine bay. What I belive happened was that the dealership (or previous owner) took the fuse block apart and ended up taking some pins out of the plugs on the underside.

On the white colored plug for the headlights, the ground wire wasn't in the correct "pin". I ended up moving it to the correct spot and I now have function without the jumper wire that was feeding the EPS module. She cranks normally now!!!

Also my fuel pump wires were in the incorrect locations on the fuse block plug, I corrected that and I believe my fuel pump now functions.

What's left?
• Pull the engine and trans apart to change the short clutch line and elbow on top of the trans.
• Figure out my rad fan and rear tailight wiring.
• Run fuel lines
• Mount intercooler
• Finish up brake and coolant lines
• Fix my broke bolt inside of subframe for drivers side control arm
• Install shifter and parking brake
• Quick alignment

After that I should have a car that moves under it's own power!!!

My list of things to finish is slowly getting smaller. With that, I have a new engine code p0315 (CKP variation not learned)

My car cranks and now has fuel (fixed fuel pump wiring), but it seems I now don't have ignition. I haven't checked before so I have no clue if this a new issue or caused by something I've done recently. Only thing I can think of is when I had the trans and starter off (CKP sensor is right above starter)

Anyone have any clues or can explainhow the circuit for the ignition works? I belive my plugs are in the correct spot.

Also, are the stock parking brake cables what are used in the goblin. It seems mine are way too long.

Ho did you check to say you don’t have ignition? Have you pulled a plug to confirm it doesn’t spark or tried running it on flammable brake cleaner to see if does anything?

The stock fit well, they will loop around but can be attached to the struts with the OEM bracket if you have them and are not running a sway bar.

(this isn’t my pic)

I have pulled them to check, and I am getting fuel in the cylinders.

I also now have a solid theft light even with vats disabled

I would probably chase the theft light. I’m not sure what the vats delete actually does, but I don’t think it totally eliminates the theft deterrent. Maybe just the key password. There may still be functionality if the module is still in place. Or the light may indicate problems on the high or low speed networks.

But have you confirmed fuses? Power and ground at the coil? RPM register on the tachometer?

I finally got this thing to crank and it will run for a short while. I think my supercharger bypass solenoid isn't hooked up properly. Can anyone tell me if there is supposed to be a line on the bottom portion of the solenoid? And if there is, where does it run too?

It is supposed to have a tiny foam filter on it that is open to atmosphere like Ross stated. I cut a tiny square out of foam and jabbed it on there.

I belive i found my culprit. My MAP sensor on the manafold shares intake temps. HP tuners logged -40°f and 300°f depending on how long the engine was running.

Also, does anyone know what this fluid could be on my fuel tank? I'm sure it's not fuel itself due to it having a hard time burning. I'm assuming some buildup of water/gas over the last couple months it's been sitting?

My transmission is back together and in the car again. I had to fix the seal between the casing and the bell housing.

Things are looking better
