You might be able to get away with just unplugging some items and keeping the coolant and clutch lines connected and only drop the subframe a little to give you enough space. So, jack stands on frame, use an engine hoist and drop it down a little.
If that doesn't work, pick up a dolly from harbor freight (if you don't already have one) and build a jig for the subframe to sit on. My jig is just two layers of 2x4's in the shape of the dolly and then two longer 2x4's to support the front and rear subframe as the dolly wasn't wide enough. Drop it down onto the jig and roll her out from under the frame. Doing it this way you don't need an engine stand or fiddle with the front subframe mount.
