V1 Routing for auto shifter cable

How is the automatic cable routed? Since the cable comes out of the front of the shifter it has to double back on itself to get to the rear. I thought about mounting the shifter backwards, maybe (joking, of course, sometimes it is hard to tell on here!).

Not sure, but I would assume it’s like the manual shifter where there’s a dog bone that transfers it correctly.

Well, what do you know? I finally figured something out on my own! Yes, it is the dog bone, and there is a small spring in the mechanism that loves to jump out at you. Now all I have to do is figure out how to attach the cable. I would guess it is not that hard.

I’d assume the supplied cable is the correct length, like our manual cables were. The cable itself doesn’t care how long it is, it’ll be the adjusting at the shifter and trans, that matters.
