Looking good, molding in the ducts makes it much cleaner looking!

Just dropped the engine cover and hood off to be wrapped. Also just got my hardware back for the wing from the powder coat

Got the wing uprights back from powder coat. No just need the body panels back. Also I think I found my coolant leak at the heat exchanger. I may have over tightened the hose clamps

Not a bad days worth of work. Completely replaced the engine harness with a brand new one from GM. Also replaced the valve cover gasket while I was at it. Looked pretty clean inside. Not sure if you can see it but there is at least 15 wires in there missing insulation. Also found the MAF wire had been spliced 6 times plus several other sensor connectors replaced. Though it would be best just to replace it all with new.

Do you have a GM Part # for the new harness? May be useful for other people with rough donors as well.

The engine harness will have a different part number based upon your donor. Go to one of the online GM parts dealers and put in your model and search for engine harness.

The guy that did the final inspection didn’t even look. I kept him occupied with showing the horn, all the lights and seat belts. Then I started talking about the build and he slapped the vin on it

I have this same question in the Michigan Builders thead, but I'm curious @SmsDetroit . Did you have the boxes checked for safety glass and all that on the TR-54 when you turned it in, or did you leave them off?
