Wanted: Airbag Module and Connector

Hey everyone,

If anyone is working on their wiring harness and hasn't trashed their airbag module and the associated connector yet, I'd love to get it. We typically cut this entire system out as the Goblin has no airbags, but then we end up with an airbag and seatbelt light on the dash. I want to try to disable these lights by connecting the module and having it think we have seatbelts plugged in. I'm specifically looking for the following:

• Connector with about 6-12 inches of wires hanging off it:
  

• Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) - Item 5 in the wiring harness diagram

I just gave all cables/plugs,... to the guy, who bought my engine, but will visit him in January, if you haven't had any luck until then I can ask him.

I doubt this will work. Especially the airbag light. It's going to be on based upon the removal of the module. And I think there is another module for seatbelts, or it reports to the airbag module. They make this stuff hard to remove. Even with the modules in place, the tests are sophisticated enough that it's usually more than a switch to be jumped or adding a resistor.

Like Gtstorey said you won’t get rid of the airbag light by having the module. The diagnostics within the module tests the resistance of each of the airbags. The seatbelt warning does go through the sdm but not sure about the resistance of the airbags themselves. I took the cluster apart and put tape over the light to turn off unwanted lights. Not saying it can’t be done by adding resistors

@bradr was working on a Goblin gadget to disable the seatbelt/airbag and TPMS warnings, but he dropped off the forum a while back and haven't seen him in any postings since. Last conversation that I recall about this gadget was from April of 2023. Not certain if these were ever finished, I was wanting to purchase one from him if they ever came up for sale.
