Corbeau Seats

What have others done to prevent the seats from hitting the cable and making you force side to side in neutral?

I'm 6'2 34 inseam and the middle setting seems far really have to stretch the ankle to reach the clutch/gas

If you are willing to drill and thread a new hole in your shifter arm,
you could mount a ball stud on the inside of the arm,
and that would move the cable over towards the center of the tunnel.
Of course, you could consider modifying the passenger seat.

That looks good Ross thanks I thought about that. I'll look into it. Any idea on what ball size I need? I'm seeing m5 and m6. I don't think I have an option for the driver side. Maybe a washer under the inner bolt.

Not sure how long it is might need to tap it but I'll check that out first. If not I'll pick up both sizes. Seems like local hardware store don't carry those.

Moved it to the side glade I have a nut laying around also moved the DS rod to the lowest hole. Everything clears nicely and is smooth now. Thanks for the help everyone.

Update not enough movement forward and back with the passenger side selector can't get into reverse. Being on top gives it more movement but very hard to shift.

Keep it on the side mount but move to the top hole so that you get more cable movement. You might also need to reset the cable length to the new position as well.

Take out your old school compass and draw a 1" dia arc and a 2" arc(using the same center point). Then get out your protractor, 30* on each arc is quite a difference! Man! shifter motion is an ugly "can of worms!" You only have to remember every mm Closer the shift cable end joint gets to the pivot joint on the shifter Subtracts throw and every mm Away from the pivot point Adds throw and slop. {Designing a shifter gives quite a headache!}

For our next assignment we'll discuss the difference in "swept area" on a 12" rotor VS a 13" rotor using equal size pads!(NO! Just Kidding!, one headache at a time! Try not to think about it; or instead, think about PIE not Pi. YUMMM, PIE.)o_O

All is well, used the top side slot and went all the way in on the trans side ball socket. We are good!!

Just curious, do you have the wide or narrow corbeaus? Is the passenger seat also in the middle position?

I have my driver's seat in the middle position and passenger seat in the rearmost position since they obviously don't need to reach pedals or anything. I haven't pulled the trigger on the DF shifter yet but have been considering it.

Fx1 not pro or wide. Front position for both. Was actually very easy to adjust the trans side all the way in and just put the ball socket on the side. No hole drilling needed just a couple seconds w a drill bit to enlarge the opening just a hair.
