Tractor supply batteries are expensive but in a pinch they carry a bunch. I’m almost convinced that all batteries come from the same manufacturer in china and just install different stickers for brand names cause it seems they’re all expensive and lack good life expectancy. Unless I’m the only one who has batteries going bad all the time.Tractor Supply, Fleet/Farm, Costco, Sam's Club all carry batteries too.![]()
I work in Supplier Quality for Mazda and we source our batteries from two production sites in the USA. Now, where their subcomponents come from is a different story. They at least make the cells in their sister facility in South Carolina.I’m almost convinced that all batteries come from the same manufacturer in china and just install different stickers for brand names cause it seems they’re all expensive and lack good life expectancy.
My 2018 Hellcat is still rocking the factory battery out here in MichiganA battery has a life expectancy of 3 years (or less) out here in the desert. The summer temperatures cook the life out of them. Doesn't matter if it's a cheap one or an expensive one, they all die a premature death compared to most other places.![]()
This is interesting. I was planning on picking up a piece of shaded polycarbonate to cut a new windshield, but maybe I'll give this a try, instead.I decided to try and polish my windscreen since it was getting pretty scratched up and had a haze when looking through it. Came out better than I expected. Link below if anyone wants to know what i used

I was ready to replace mine. I wasn't expecting this much of an improvement from polishing it.This is interesting. I was planning on picking up a piece of shaded polycarbonate to cut a new windshield, but maybe I'll give this a try, instead.

I was looking at those. Are the blinkers red or amber? I want to say I remember seeing someone installing these with amber blinkers? What would you charge me to make some of those brackets?
The ones I have are red blinkers. As for making you a set, I'm really not interested in sending you a set, if you have fitment issues then its a hassle to make it right for you since you paid for them and i wouldnt be able to just say oh well and leave you hanging. The pics I have with my sharpie marks will get you off to a good start if you wanted to make a set. I traced the taillights brackets that come on the frame. Then traced the bracket that comes with the lights in the center of the C shape that I traced and used my horizontal lines to make sure light bracket was traced was "straight" so that the angle of both lights would be the same. I used a couple of pieces of 1/8in aluminum I had leftover from other projects. I have 1/16th too but it felt to flimsy for this. I cut the large sections out with a hacksaw, shaped it with a flap disk, then drilled the holes in it. Would have gone much quicker if I had a bandsaw.I was looking at those. No problem, I just hate cutting metal with my poor jigsawThe ones I have are red blinkers. I'm not trying to be a jerk and tell you I won't make a set, but distance makes it difficult for a weird little one off project that I half eyeball measured and kinda just made up as I went along.
Ha i get it. I would think 3/16 would be fine. 1/8th is overkill for these but it's what I had on hand. I'm not sure how similar if at all the mounting is for the Rigid lights but some one on the forum had some pretty mounts they were making/selling for them. I think that's what @comegetjoe used for his rigid lights. No problem, I just hate cutting metal with my poor jigsawYea, I was think 3/16" thick? I have 2mm carbon fiber mounts now and they're somewhat flimsy, but I wouldn't think they would be as flimsy as 1/8" metal... I looked and couldn't find the ones with amber signals... I found some different interesting lights though
I'm on my 3rd set of aftermarket lights, LOL!
Oops, not 1/8", I meant to type 1/16", that would be too flimsy I would think? 1/8" should be pretty firm?Ha i get it.
