Build it with a K motor and end world hunger! Your 0 to 60 times will drop by 2/100 sec! You'll be smarter than everyone else and taller to boot! Your breakfast cereal will not get soggy and your coffee will always be just right.
Sincerely,
Your K Genie(sarc off)

lol, well the difference is the VR6 and DAZA were actually sold in MQB cars, so there would be no or minimal chassis modification needed.

Exciting stuff when the machining begins - means the design is finalized and production is starting! Delivery of the V2 will be another big milestone in the evolving history of DF Kit Car! :D

We are making the bucks differently this time. This time, I am cutting EPS foam 0.05 undersize, sealing it with UV epoxy, coating it with plastic body filler while still on the Machine, and then recutting the surface to the finished size. We then glue the sections together to form the buck. After that, we will prime, sand, wax, and PVA the business parts of the buck.

We will then be ready to pull a mold. We will apply a layer of tooling gel coat and six layers of fiberglass mat to the prepped surface of the buck. Weld a steel frame together and bond it to the mold. And then hope the mold releases from the buck.

We have 13 molds to make.

Maybe think about 15 molds as if people go with double door bars, I believe it would be good looking to add a panel over those.

I'm excited for the official release of v2 and see what all the options and Add ons will be (plus the cost!). I'm having a pole barn built and finished this year and it would be amazing to be able to budget the start of a v2!

Keep up all the good work you do.

Has everyone who's put a deposit done so blindly without knowing the full price?
This is the question I had for those putting down a deposit...just going to Vegas??? I'm assuming DF is giving them the option for deposit return if they change their minds?

  • Starting Price: $11,990 for the Naked Goblin, which includes the chassis, suspension, and other key components but excludes body panels, lights, and accessories. We’ve kept the price in line with the supercharged and turbocharged versions of the Goblin V1 while including even more parts in the kit including things like a tubular rear subframe, full rear suspension, bearing hubs, and more.

This price is subject to change.

We don't know the exact price, but they have stated the expected approximate price. Also the deposit is refundable for any reason.

Just for reference and to help with when to send my deposit. Would someone be able to share how many are spoken for? I know some will back out but I also don't want to be serial number 1 but then again I don't want to wait till summer only to have a 2 year wait.

That is awesome to hear about already having your spot at #5!

Being a non mechanic I'm hoping to budget it out and get one this year... Next at latest but I'd also hate to be leading the charge and not being able to solve problems.

I've seen lots of guys from Michigan post on here so it would be awesome to join that community when the time comes.
