V1 Ark's City Goblin #187 (2008 SS/TC donor)

Ross
You have so many boxes of presents... Wow. Are you sponsored? Looks like enough stuff to start a racing team.

Not yet a "proper" unboxing, I don't think I have the space for that. But, here's some pics.

...but before that, I wanted to give a quick shout-out to DF Kit Car and their staff. They've exceeded my expectations in every way, through this entire process. The packaging was stupendous. Everything arrived safely for the most part (one of the side panels is a bit scuffed up, won't cause a problem in any way though). Even through the last several months of COVID-19 concerns, they've managed to not only stay open to service folks like us that are here for purely entertainment, but they've kept every promise they've made. Great job fellas, you run a business the way it was meant to be run and if I ever find my way out to Red Oak, we'll drink on my tab.

So, on to some pics. I'll try to follow up with some proper unboxing, later this weekend.

I couldn't wait, so I got into everything and inventoried it, or attempted to, at least.

Holy ****, my head is spinning. All this stuff ... neophytes like me who don't know what the hell I'm looking at, it's a bit overwhelming but I'm sure it'll be fine in the end. There's a couple things missing that I already knew ahead of time but here's (most of) the goods.

WOW, it really is Christmas in June! Stage 2 and 3 and whole bunch of extra DF goodies. Known where you will be all weekend. ;)

I'm on vacation the week after next ;) I've already whittled down the Honey-do list so I can justify spending an entire week in my garage.

...assuming my god **** engine mount adapter finally comes in by then.

I noticed when I put my seats in a while back, that the driver seat did not center up well with the steering column. And now that I've got the steering wheel hardware on, it's rather quite off-center with where my body will be while driving. Not a big deal, it's very doable, just a little annoying. I presume this is how it is for most everyone?

Also, gotta express my annoyance with the company that sold the steering wheel to DF. Why do companies just slap a bar code sticker right on top and dead center on pieces like this? I removed the sticker and glue with acetone, but it left a bit of a mark that I'll have to try to scrub off later. Again, not a big deal, just annoying. Hide the **** sticker somewhere that's not visible, like say, the back of the bloody wheel. Geez.

Oh, on a positive note, my motor mount/adapter finally shipped. Hallelujah!

The pedals are off to the right side, because of the body shape.
The steering wheel splits the difference between the pedals and the seat.

OK, and..?
I was talking to him about not installing top bolt for BCM until he gets ready to install kick plate or he will just have to take the top bolt back out, plus you need more spacers for top so the nut and end of bolt doesn’t hit bar behind it, Because top is not as wide as bottom so more spacers needed

I've long since had the BCM and footplate bolted in my friend, I am good. I appreciate the advice.

As weird as the alignment all sounds, you get settled in to the seat and maybe subconsciously adjust to accommodate it all. It's all good! ;)

Yeah I'll get used to it. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't just because of my seats. I think they are a smidge wider than the Corbeau's so their center is a little further out toward the sides of the Goblin. All good though, indeed, I will get used to it and I certainly won't care once this thing is on the road!
