V1 Blitz's Standard City Frame 07 SS/SC

This is the master cylinder I am going to try and use. It has a 3/4" bore and the outlets are on the wrong side, but that shouldn't be a problem.
And it will take an adapter to mount it to the frame as the bolt holes are to close together.

I'm assuming you are going with a manual brake setup? The Cobalt booster and master cylinder mount dimensions are 'metric' pieces, so the Goblin bracket needs to be altered. I'm sure you've already determined the new master cylinder you purchased does not fit the Cobalt brake booster.
I welded the frame bracket holes closed and redrilled for the standard SAE dimensions, this was far easier and cleaner than trying to put an adapter on the new (not Cobalt) 7 inch brake booster and Astro master cylinder I will be installing.

Yeah going manual brakes. I should have it bolted on this weekend, I still need to drill the adapter out and trim down the rod. For sure no way this MC was going to fit the cobalt booster.

A 7" booster man that thing is small. How much longer till you get really started on yours? I know your still making the wifey happy.

With the COVID delays for labor and materials the new house is going up painfully slow. It will still be many months before I will be back at Goblin building.

I have some info on the 7 inch brake booster and Astro master cylinder in my build log in case you are curious. I spent a lot of time researching what may work to fit the needs of a lightweight car like a Goblin keeping a power brake system. Going manual brakes would have been much easier, but I'm not one to do anything the easy way. ;)

I had some time to work on my brake master cylinder adapter, it still needs final touches.

I drilled the mounting holes with a 11/16" drill bit, then I used a Dremel with a carving bit to make the hole flat on the bottom.
So it would fit on the mounting tubes better without any wobble.

Did the rubber grommets in the inlet ports come with the master cylinder or did you add them? Looks like they would be a good alternative to provide a good seal for the brake fluid from the remote reservoir. Put a metal plate over the top to make sure they don't come out. :D

Came with the MC.

I love first-start videos. It was such a sweet, sweet day indeed.

If I could guarantee myself a turbo donor, I'd sell #187 and build another one. =)

03-04 Cobra reservoir installed. I need to make a new mount for it, leans to much for my liking.

Stock bits are sometimes a real challenge as they were designed from scratch to fit a peculiar spot AND be easy and quick to install, Beauty and Simplicity aren't considerations. That long tab attaching the reservoir to the I/C looks likely to fatigue out due to vibration. Originally it sat on top of something? Maybe with different bracketry it could sit atop the I/C? That would make the cap the highest point in the system. Or maybe a simple strut rod with a top plate, with a spring or clamp around the reservoir? Sloshing liquid will flex plastic to failure.
