V1 Chris’s 2007 SS/SC track frame build for autocross

I have the memory of a goldfish and can’t remember what good I though I was doing here.

This purple bundle of wire seems to be part of the head-lite wizardry. Its sorta melted together can it be eliminated ?

I traced the two wires out, the green one goes to the black and purple plug that is probably my engine harness and the light blue wire goes to the fuse box. I’m not sure if they are supposed to be spliced together or not. I think at may have pulled them out thinking they were headlight wires.

When I get a chance I will go back and watch the videos a to see if that triggers something.

It is the light blue on the engine harness's black connector under the fusebox... the light blue also showed up on both Cobalt fan plugs... not sure if they were wired together. I think that C5 may be the white headlight connector.

When I rework a wiring harness I use one of the large light blue wires that powered the power windows and run it from near the fuse box all the way to the front near the radiator fan. At the front it will be attached to the blue radiator fan wire. At the rear it will attach to the large light blue wire that exits the large black fuse box plug which originally went to the radiator fan on your donor.

It actually comes from the grey square block off the dash harness from what it looks like.

The green wire appears to go back into the engine harness somewhere. There is a green wire on the back lug that goes into the supercharger. I’m not sure That’s right though I will have to unwrap the engine harness. I don’t see why a wire would go from the body harness to the supercharger and not just straight to the ecu.
Ah. I should have read back farther... to page 3. Ignore my comment...

I found where it goes to ! The green wire I had cut and coiled up looked like it went to the supercharger but after unwrapping my engine harness to see where it was going it makes its way to the transmission plug.

Is this a back up/reverse lite wire by any chance ?

Yes, the backup light was green.

Finishing up the wiring harness I got to the part where you rewire the steering wheel buttons and remembered that I also want to install a boost gauge. As luck would have it we have a GPS OBD2 system that works with Solo storm a datalogging system a lot of the guys use for autocross. We picked up Racecapture from Peter florence (the guy im going have tune the goblin) it has a pretty neat interface where you can set alarms on the dash and the GUI will change the dash/guage cluster colors like ALERT red on the interface.

Just got a 3d printer in the mail today I may start my first project looking up car tablet mounts. As soon as I figure out how to read the directions....

I would guess there is OCR for Mandrin, then a Mandrin to English translate, should lead you to some Chinglish.
Or maybe someone has already translated it on internet. Any YouTube videos on assembly?
What version of Racecapture did you get, Track/Pro/Apex ?

It came with a video on how to put it together. I'm printing whatever little design that came loaded on the jump drive now. At first it wasn't loading the plastic for some reason maybe the feeder gear was not gripping but it seems to be working now. I did not know I should put painters tape on the bed now I have a small design of plastic welded to the bed.

RaceCapture tack Mk2, have only used it a couple of times now. We have been getting to very few events this year but hope to pull some data with it next weekend at the PCA event in Verona. I'm going to take the Corvette out there since they only go by top times and not PAX should be fun smoking all the fancy Porches in my 15 year old fiberglass body truck motor car : )

I've been contemplating buying fancy headers but decided to try to clean up and paint the stockers. More money for tires later ! I will probably hit the bad spots again tomorrow and see if I can get them a little more smooth looking and put another couple coats on them.

The studs and nuts were a pain to take off I will have to find a fresh set or some part numbers to order new ones. I remembers the o2 sensor socket I got last year this thing is a must have. It has a little slot to fit the wire so you can still use a socket.

Yeah that is not the stock manifold. That is a long or mid-length tube header. That actually won’t work with the DF supplied exhaust.

Got a base coat down on my subframe. Always been a fan of the copper/orange color. I like it !
