V1 Chris_WNC's Track Frame #338 '09 LT Auto. REGISTERED in NC.

What did that cost? Know location is everything but my quotes to get a well drilled have been all over the place, with no guarantee to hit water. At my property I currently bring in water ~300 gallons at a time as needed and transfer to a 1000 gallon holding tank.
Drilling was $5500. Well pump, pressure tank, spigot, cover, and install is going to be another $4500. We’re going to run it off of a propane generator until power is on site.

Septic was $4700.

I'm mostly done with my main harness.

The auto 4-door didn't exactly jive with the videos. I'm using the heck out of my my.alldata account to help. I have some a couple of twisted pair data cables that didn't work out as called out on the videos. But I think I have it figured out. Some of the "tape this bundle 12 inches" areas didn't happen either. Even with the hiccups this table looks much better now than it did yesterday!

I finished it up last night. I had a couple of 12v+ spares that I coiled near the BCM and fuse box. I was also unsure what to do the the 4 wire connector that goes to the auto shifter and the amperage sensor that terminates near the battery. I left them full length and have them coiled up as well.

I should have bought the wiring kit that Lonny sells. I bought up all the 18 ga wire that my local Tractor Supply and Advanced Auto had on the shelf. And my dang soldering iron kit is packed up "somewhere" while we are doing a house build. It took a while to find one locally.

Not a whole lot happening build-wise, but I've been busy. I have a shop now!

It's in the dry but I'm still waiting on utilities. Electric and water. I'll work off a generator until that is done.
I've been moving my stash of DF Kit Car boxes from the laser shop over to my workshop this week. A small load at a time. I moved the frame and drivetrain today. My axle-flipped trailer on 13's came through again!:D

The Goblin corner.

My concrete floor is sealed but is an absolute mess right now with this wonderful red NC clay. We aren't going to have gravel hauled in until the digging for our water lines happens. Hopefully we knock all of that out this weekend. At least get the plastic pipe and wire in the ground. I'll do a deep clean and mop it up once gravel is down. Right now I'm sweeping and blowing the dust out with a blower.

I'm READY to get on with this build. Nobody to blame for delays right now but me. Darn.

I've also got a fun car to drive around while I'm building this thing. My wife got me this Porsche Cayman S for our wedding anniversary. It's a 2016 981 version with the NA boxer 6 and PDK. Solid spec and just under 38k miles on it. My son and I are having a blast on the ride to school in the mornings. I already did a Softronic tune on it. lol. I'm waiting on the Soul Performance black friday sale and will get the long tube headers.

Very nice! I cross-shopped an S2000 and a 987.2 and ended up with an S2000. Then when I was ready to move on from the S2000, I considered a Goblin or a 981, but ended up here.

The shop looks great too! If you manage to figure out how to get that red clay out of your concrete, let me know. I have spots where the concrete crew walked across a fresh pour and obviously a pressure washer won't pull that up. I'm not ready yet to try staining or bleaching the concrete...

The new toy is nice, but applauses to the wife. Not sure which part is more impressive - that she bought you a Porsche or that she can buy you a Porsche.

We had some big disbursements this year and sold our old home. We set aside a pretty hefty chuck for taxes. Our accountant ran our quarterlies and let us know the house gains weren’t taxable so we had a little to play with. She picked up a fancy horse and I got the Porsche! The timing was right for me. :D

Getting a little off-topic, but does she ride at Tryon by chance? It'd be cool to see another Goblin there, I don't think it could be more out of place.

Yes. TIEC was about 5 minutes from our old house. It'll be 10 minutes from our new one when it gets built. I think there is a car show or two at the equestrian center. I'd like to make one of them when the Goblin is finished.

My wife says the parking lot at TIEC looks like a used Porsche lot with all of the Macans that are there. lol.

My son helped again today. We finished up the front radiator stuff and moved to the back. I followed the newer videos and jumped back when they stopped. Seth helped me get the drivetrain in. We used a cherry picker and some of the dollies that I have.

Pretty painless. I had to pull out a little on the side tube to make it work. No major issues.

Fuse box and everything mounted up no problem. I had issues squeezing under the dang thing to hook up the power wire to the starter. lol. I couldn't find my jack stands. I need to track them down.
I moved on to the front suspension and got it installed. I pre-built the coilovers and spindles during my down time so it all bolted up quickly. Of course I had to throw on the front discs and mount up my wheels!

I'm going to need a bunch of help with my tune. I changed injectors and TMAP and need to get the generic program changes in. I have no clue what I'm doing on that front. Ha! I'll start another thread in the Tuning sub-forum for help on that stuff.

More stuff done. Did a little more coolant plumbing and installed the reservoir. The oil cooler loop has me boggled right now. I shortened the main power wire like the recent video showed. I noticed that I have a transmission pan bolt missing a head. I'll be replacing that this weekend. I installed the axles, rear coil-overs, spindles, and subframe. I did a mock up to see how it's all going to look. I giggled some. Not going to lie.

The sub-frame install was pretty easy. I had to pull out on the tube chassis a small bit for one of the front bolts to line up, but the rest went in no problem. I did a rough alignment and got the front solid mount lined up first. Then did the two forward carriage bolts. Then I moved on to the rear-most sub-frame bolts. The rear solid mount lined right up.

I need to track down torque specs for the spindle bolts, rear coil-over mounts, and the toe arm. I'll get them all torqued up before I forget.
