V1 Fenix's Goblin #461 - 2010 Base Auto

The one nice thing is that it seems to get less sticky after a week or two of airing out. One recomendation is to wrap the new wiring up with TESA tape. it is a fabric and does not get sticky if you have to get back in the harness. One thing I learned was to wrap the harness from the bundle to the connector. The easy thought is to grab the connector and spiral wrap to the main harness but if you need to peal back the wrap, at the harness for siagnostic, you end up having to cut the tape. Ending at the connector means you can unwrap and rewrap at will. You will need at least 5-6 rolls, I bought a 5 pack and ended up wishing I had at least a 6th.

It was winter when I did my wiring so did inside so I did not want to solder indoors (fumes). I used heat shrink crimp connectors and for the sensor wires, I should have soldered them as that is prefered.

TESA tape

TESA tape is awesome but it really holds onto the dirt and grime. It also gets really nasty if you spill fuel on it! I would still absolutely recommend it over the regular electrical tape though.

It's also cheaper to buy the 3-pack at Home Depot/Lowes than to buy individual rolls at Advanced/Auto Zone....

or work for an electrical company where you access to tons of electrical tape in many different colors. :D

don’t forget your parking brake handle, cables and those aluminum tubes that are still on the doner.

Pretty sure all the videos are on the DF YouTube channel . If there are others, I'd like to know.

Something terrible happening to my foot. Doc says it's just inflammation. Had to call out on my 3rd day of my new job. Hope I don't get fired.

Having almost the exact same donor I can tell you it's a riot, I added a chinaboi and on 11psi it is violently fast, mine was a 2010 XFE base 5speed car

If I remember correctly the 4 inches on each end was overkill and I needed to trim them back a little more anyway so you should be good.
Nice

Another question, I forget to use poly adhesive on part of the floor pans..

Does df supply enough rivits to redo mistakes? Is it worth the trouble?

Also progress

My hoses in the frame shrunk back after I drove it a few miles. Guess that it makes sense, since I pulled the snot out of them when installing them.
