Here is Pennsylvania......... I'm being told I have to have a front sway bar. Windshield glass with DOT ASE etching and wiper motor with a parking feature. Has anyone run into this ? and does anyone have pictures of these items installed on your Goblin?

Will Pennsylvania allow no front windscreen, just a motorcycle helmet?

There are several states require DOT windshield. The most recent that I remember was "Adem in CLE". Windshield Help Needed | DF Kit Car Forum

Wiper is usually handled by a manual wiper.

Required front sway bar is the first I heard. Others have added them for handling changes. I would want to see the Legal Requirements for that one. But front swaybar can and has been added.

Pennsylvania requires a DOT Certified windshield made of safety glass, a motorized windshield wiper with a "park" feature and squirting washer fluid.

I made the frame, welded a mount for the manual wiper. "Fail"

Yeah this is the first I’ve heard of the front swaybar requirement. I knew about windshield and wiper. Also defroster. Not squirt bottle, but I’ve heard other states want that.

Wasn't a requirement for me, but I did front swaybar for performance reasons. Front windshield in progress - no plans for a wiper.

Can yo show what you used to mount to the control arms? My front bumper mounts where you have the sway bar frame mounts. I added the list of Pennsylvania criteria.

I'm not sure that is a "criteria" list since it doesn't have the required answers and some they are looking for a yes answer and some for a no answer.

If the requirement is just "sway bar" and not "front sway bar" then adding a rear sway bar is a simple cheap solution.

I have a rear sway bar,,, That didn't cut it for this guy. I have contacted several stations in south Eastern Pa . Most have no idea what to do with a "kit" car.

I had this argument with myself about a month ago and had to ask myself, why go through all the trouble? Just for a PA title?
No thanks. Ark has convinced me to not deal with the headaches.

Sounds like the inspector was making stuff up. I'd want to see in writing the state statute that defines the law requiring a front swaybar - otherwise I would call him out and ask to speak to his supervisor. That's utter BS!

Well that was easy.

Yeah there's several registered here in PA, and I don't remember reading about a required front sway bar before. I call bullsh*t.

My nephew owns a shop in Dover Pa. Not sure how far that is for you but he would probably be willing to talk to you about what you need. My nephew owns his own shop and performs Pa state inspections.

Dover is only about an hour away from Manheim
