V1 Mikes Extended, Full Frame Goblin - 2009 Cobalt LS with 135k donor

Ross
Received the LS4 TB today with the Adapter from ZZP. Now I am looking for a new intake pipe and a 90deg. Seems like it's 3.5in diameter. I read somewhere that the MAF should be located after a few inch of straight pipe, but can't find the exact value anymore. Anyone knows that by chance?
2x the diameter is recommended, both before and after the MAF. So that would be 7" for your 3.5" diameter pipe, both before and after the MAF. Doubt we have room for that, but it is just a recommendation.

Little something? That looks like at least 15HP to me!
This is 1500rpm more redline and 150lbs weight reduction :D

I think DF sells a forward and back version of the seat braces. I opted for the forward version as I'm only 5'9". I'd take a photo for comparison but it's still at the powder coater.

Can someone speak of experience, if I have to remove the supercharger, if I want to install the phenolic spacer? I think I can reach all screws. My plan was just removing the belt and leave the SC installed.

Ideally you remove the supercharger to install spacers of the same thickness as the phenolic behind the three-bolt bracket pictured in this post. That will maintain alignment of that single cross-bolt that attaches to the bottom of the intake manifold.

Ahh, yes, Thanks for remembering me of that cross bolt... Dang, seems like more work as expected. Oh well.

It's really hard (but not impossible) to see that lower bolt with the engine in the car. I think the alternator is in the way.....

I want to say the head was 15mm but it's been about 2 or 3 years since I did mine.

Removed the SC and saw the lower studs. I don't think it would be possible remove the intake manifold with the SC installed.

Since I was on it, I just removed the Alternator as well. And installed the spacer at the lower bracket for the cross bolt. Installation was pretty simple so far.

With the phenolic spacer installed the hole to secure the oil dip stick screw at the manifold is not lining up anymore. Did you just leave the dip stick not secured?
