So as the title states I'm thinking of powdercoating a TVS blower I picked up recently. I currently have a ported stock M62 blower that I powdercoated the same color a year or so ago. I initially didn't see any issues with doing the TVS unit but figured I contact the manufacturer to get their input as the baking temp is 425f. Well their response was that it might warp the rotors and they could touch. Thinking about the response I noted that i believe the responder is a marketing/sales rep and not an engineer. I've seen ait temps close to 200f without any rotor issues but it is quite a difference for 425f. Anyone ppwdercoated one of these without any issues or thoughts on that temp and potential issues? Harrop said to paint it.
