I figured I give it a try, also seems less bulky. No thing I might not like is that you need to flip the lever to ho into reverse I believe.

I bought that RSX shifter we have been talking about in our group message.

Yep, that one should work. It will be mounted 'backward' with the cable mount bracket toward the rear. This will put the cable attachment points on the shift lever and the side2side lever on the rear of the shifter to mate with the shift cables.

You may want to trim up the sides a little, since the bottom mounting plate is wider then the donor shifter. Minimizing the overhang might save an ankle when getting in/out. I put pics in my build log from a while back showing what I trimmed it down to in size.

I will be drilling through the tunnel cover top plate and tapping the matching holes in the shifter bottom plate to bolt it to the tunnel. Might need one or two stabilization brackets to keep it from wobbling side to side in use. These would be welded to the side of the tunnel with matching bolts in the shifter bottom plate.
