Stripped thread on rear of frame?

Anyone have the rear nut strip out that goes into the rear frame (from the subframe and holds the A-Arm bushing)? Didn’t get to 100 ft pounds of torque and loose it went...hopefully the bolt, but think it is the welded in nut...

Guess the fix shouldn’t be too bad anyway...

The front bushing held by two bolts into the subframe? Or the rear that threads directly into the goblin frame with the big cobalt bolts?

Pull the bolt out and see what’s going on in there. You may be able to chase the thread with a tap, but with that much pressure on it, you may need a helicoil or time sert added.

Ours on both frames have always been very tight and afraid of stripping the threads. I just assumed it was the alignment of the frame to the subframe causing a bind. But have always had to really wrench it all the way in.

Antiseaze is a must for most of the reinstalled bolts. I bought an essentially rust free donor and still had a hard time removing many frame and structural bolts.

They are new bolts (I didnt reuse any Cobalt donor hardware)....I need to take the bolt out and see what’s going on....may be the bolt itself (it’s a M14 8.8), not sure quite yet.

If it is the insert, I’m going to have some made at the machine shop that have more threads and harder...will replace them both so I don‘t run into issue again. Got a chassis welder right down the street, so should be simple to replace
