Guage cluster option?

Is there any reason someone couldn't just run a guage cluster that operates off obd info? Other than maybe an issue of not tracking mileage correctly?

There are a few people using the Torque app which pulls the information from the OBDii and displaying the information on a tablet.

I deleted my stock cluster, replaced it with a radio, and I'm using an ODB speedo above the steering wheel. Like it so much better

I installed the Cobalt unit but use Torque on my phone because it is not only easier to use but I can also have other relevant information displayed (i.e. clock, water temp, and IAT).

Well I'm sold. I like the idea of putting a radio there instead.
If you end up putting the same Boss marine radio in there let me know. I plan on CNC-ing out something for it eventually. I 3D printed the skeleton previously, but I had to do it in pieces. Would like to redo it

Here’s my setup. Realdash app on $80 Lenovo tablet , NVX Bluetooth controller , Memphis audio powersports amp and nvx 5.25 component setup. Loud enough to listen to music at highway speeds and the controller knob is nice to use to switch songs or adjust volume without touching your phone

Yep. Don't know if that's the same for all model years, but it works for mine. I wouldn't have deleted the stock cluster otherwise

Is there a way to pull odometer data on these remote displays?
Y'all have me thinking about this now as an upcoming project.

That's the one thing I couldn't figure out. The cluster I bought has its own odometer, but I couldn't get it to pull in the stock odometer reading. Honestly, that's fine by me since I'd rather have it say 8K miles that 138K miles lol
