[GUIDE] Montana Registration

Bringing this topic back to life. So im planning on buying a goblin. I'm located in NJ and they are a pain and almost impossible to register here. My question is I'm reading about the Montana route, but it's only referred to if you purchase kit directly from DF and you purchased the donor and tile is in your name. How does it work if goblin is registered already in Montana or another state?

I don't think it matters since you have to "sale" the vehicle to the corporation even if it is in your name. Just incorporate prior to buying the vehicle.

Got it I went on $49 website and looks like tbey offer a service for $1049 that I'm assuming they take care of everything?

Also I was looking for License & Theft offices near me and nothing pops up. I'm I screwed if nothing is available in NJ?

My MCO was made out to my LLC, so I believe I can skip the selling part entirely. I am expecting some emails soon from 49 montana and I am picking up the vin inspection today from an officer friend :)

*edited - reading got my answer.

I have the title to one of my donors, but its not titled in my name and I know my title guys won't change it into my name without the car present and that's a problem because the car is long gone.

I may have missed the question, but I am curious as to why you would need the title. If we're talking Montana registration you won't need the donor title.

So, it's that time of year again for me. That's "registration renewal" time. Unfortunately though, the MVD Your Way website, which I've used the last several years to renew, is stating that the site is unavailable (I've checked a dozen times in as many days) and it redirects to the mvdmt.gov site saying there "may be" information there to help you get done what you need to get done, in person or by mail.

Has anyone else had issues renewing registration in Montana lately?

This may actually be a non-issue, after digging around for more information, I see that their online vehicle registration will be unavailable from March 11th through the 16th for a planned upgrade. It was unavailable well before that though, so we'll see what happens in the coming days I guess.

Just wanted to follow up. The MVD registration site is back up and running and I was able to renew this morning. It was only right around $100, I thought I remembered it being more than $200 before...
