Ok I finally got started building again.
I started watching the next few videos and realized I had a bracket to paint. Originally was gonna powder coat but forgot to take it during the first run. I have other things that need coating but not for a while, so rattle can it is.
Also decide to give the rack one more shot at paint since it was still out. If the paint still doesnt stick well after this I’m gonna let it go and just get it installed.
Got them primed this morning and will paint them tomorrow after they had 24hrs to dry.
Hoping to get rack and brake lines done this weekend.

The parts are now black. May try and get the rack in tonight. Want to work on the brake lines tomorrow. Will see how things go. I honestly wish I could skip out on work today and work on it. Easier when there are no distractions at home haha.

Got the rack installed again. I bought a fresh can of primer instead of the old one I was using and a different brand of flat black paint. So far it’s sticking really well to the rack.
Also got the brake lines in. I haven’t drilled the holes to mount the clamps that hold them down yet. Kinda nervous and procrastinating about drilling into the powder coat. Just gotta take the plunge.
Next up gotta disassemble the steering column. We never did that from when we removed it.
I can’t wait to get this thing flipped right side up.

Wasn’t planning to work in the Goblin today since I had other things to do but the kid was dying to dissemble the steering column, so we did. Minus getting the bearing out. I ran out of time for that.

Taking the pedal boxes to work tomorrow and gonna paint them up this week. Planning to flip my frame over hopefully Friday and spend the long weekend bolting parts on.
Still waiting to hear back from DF so I can ship my harness out. Figured I’m just gonna have them do it. Will be quicker and probably better over all.

That wheel looks leather wrapped, I have been looking for a decent leather wheel. Did you knock it off with a hammer or "strong man" it off? Bent wheels are not much use. I'd buy a good one.

I’ll look at it later but I don’t think it’s leather

Got a lot done over the weekend. Brake booster is installed, steering wheel is mostly installed. I gave up trying to remove the old bearing and just bought a new one. So gotta get that installed. So for the moment it’s partially installed, partially test fitted. Also zip tied the gauges and buttons just to see what they look like. Test fitted the radiator frame as well.
Went to test fit the seat frame/slider and it didn’t fit right. Will go into that more later.
Went to box up and ship out my wiring harness for DF today only to realize that I didn’t remove the harness on the gas tank yet. So dropping the tank is this weekends project.

If you have not already seen it, you should check out how I mounted those seats. From my build log: https://dfkitcar.com/forum/index.php?threads/arks-city-goblin-187-2008-ss-tc-donor.1301/page-11#post-27862
