I went to check in on Facebook for Cars by the Creek to see if there were updates and I can't find it anywhere. Not sure if it's me or the event got canceled.

Think I'm going to skip this one. It's light rain/mist this morning then possible thunderstorms by my place when I would need to be heading back.

I can't get the idea of taking the goblin across the Mackinac Bridge out of my head. The non highway option looks like a decent cruise. Cross the bridge, grab a burger and head home. That's a lot of seat time in the Goblin for a one day trip tho. Probably won't make it happen this summer but I think it would be a fun trip. Driving on the see through grate lane might be a little unnerving in the goblin tho.

Haha I literally did this with @mjgrusni a few days ago on my DRZ. 650 miles of dirt and trails along with going over the bridge! That was a bit unnerving with knobby tires! It would be cool in a goblin! I'd be game for it someday this summer!

I just did about 300 miles (5 hours total driving) from Huntsville, AL to Gatlinburg, TN. I actually had to go to Dunlap, TN first to visit a supplier. I was only on the interstate (I24 & I75) for 15 miles of that. It was really fun doing the highways and backroads on the trip. I can say, with my stock seats I could have gone much further. Only issue I had was not wearing sunscreen and getting cooked.

Yea the NRG seats I think are good for a couple hours of driving but that might be a stretch. Time to upgrade maybe lol.

Do you have an idea of what seats you’re getting? I’ve been contemplating selling the donor recaros and getting a racing seat for looks and being able to use a harness but worried about comfort. NRG was a brand a looked at.

It’s probably more a ME thing than the seats. I have a compressed disc that I’m trying to heal up and that’s what’s causing my discomfort. I haven’t started looking at seats yet though.

If you get new ones and decide to sell yours, let me know! If I haven’t purchased a set already I would definitely be interested.

My NRG’s are pretty decent, for “race seats”. I struggle with leg room or room in general because of the old short chassis.
