Question about Copart buying in Michigan but car is in Missouri

I have never used copart before so I was unsure if I have to have a license to bid on / buy a car from copart that is in Missouri. It's also a fair drive but it would be worth the drive to save money on the car it's self. Thank you in advance.

How far I'd like to drive is not to important since the car I'm trying to find is nearly impossible to find below 8k and without a blown Trans or motor. Thanks as well, shame Missouri made it nearly impossible to get my car now without costing even more.

Actually looking at the listing it says this and when clicked on the little info button it says that is commonly used for vehicles with clean titles

There's at least a ten SS donors within 250 miles of Detroit on FB Marketplace that I would consider for a build under $8k, some of which look medium-term drivable, and a couple that are within break-even territory. I made money off my donor, it all depends on how hard you sell your unused donor parts.

Not seeing many that are supercharged manual for what something not costly, I make 12k a year so buying a used car from market place is not seeming that likely to happen with how costly people want for them sadly

The odds of buying a clean-title car from Copart, while not zero, are very low. Iowa, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Arkansas are nearby states where you won't need a broker or a license to bid on any car. But beware, there are fees and other considerations associated with winning a bid on a car from Copart.

A few words of encouragement/advice: you're a very young guy, and very young guys aren't too often established financially in this world, yet. You'll find that two things are very at odds with one another, when working in this hobby: money and patience. The more you have of one, the less you need of the other. Keep an eye on ALL sources: IAAI, Copart, FB Marketplace, Craigslist. Maybe start lower, with a base 2.2 Cobalt, and build it up later. These cars are quick, even with a base 2.2.

The big problem is that there is a chance that by the time I save up and buy just the base goblin and want to upgrade it they no longer provide support if the v2 takes off and they discontinue the v1. I don't have a shot at my own place so I figured build my dream car right the first time and not have to go back and tear it to the bone to upgrade it later on

Then carry on, grasshopper!
Thanks I'll try to, the car I found on copart is a clean title so I can buy it without broker so just hoping it does not hit 3k+ like most used ss/sc go for. Hopefully I can get a better job to fund the build better but college or trade school stands in the way of making over 13 a hour where I'm at

DF providing support really won't factor into upgrading a base car other than maybe an auto to manual swap. I can't think of much else you would have to source from DF. Of course, it might be easier to source some of it from DF, but not necessary.

Plus sourcing the parts to do supercharger. Right now main one is body panels

All of the parts for supercharger or turbo swap should be available, just might not be a one stop shop.

No clue what you are talking about for body panels being different.

.Three Cobalt's base model sold today at police auction for under 500$ could have bought all for 1500$. Perfect for starting out on low finances and as others said build power later but build and enjoy the ride now. A Pontiac G6 went for 495$ running and drive away condition V6 engine though!!

So far this year I could have filled my back yard with Cobalt's and HHR's for these prices. Oh well!!

Dale! what would you do with a yard full of Delta platform cars?(actual question, please elucidate!?)
Please, Don't confuse the issue!, the G5 is not the G6 which is a very different animal. I think they share some wiring, some motors, F35's and F40's and maybe the steering but not much else. Easy to find folks confusing these two! Serial numbers always tell! The Canada G5 is called the Pontiac Pursuit. I think the G6 is a platform cousin of the Malibu?

Goblin V1 supplier???? Hey, no one on here is buying the cheap cars like this. Goblin builders want the dream ride (SC/Turbo) and will pay the money for the wait. Build the V1 as cheap as possible, enjoy and learn to drive it well, then add your gazillion HP and bling. Mr. Hayden2023 doesn't have the time to wait or the means to pay big money, as I read his notes. So why not point him to the cheap alternative donor and let him build his dream. Don't discourage him in his adventure -- support and help anyway you can. Goblin owners are enjoying their builds and some are still building after how many years? My cars are 20 plus years old and I still don't have wings and spoilers or diffusers - they scare me now so what would all that extra handling really gain me? But they are sure fun to get a sunburn in and run some twisty roads assertively!! Sorry I placed a confusing car into the mix!!
Brain fade!!

G5/G6 It was an easy one to trip up on since their moniker is one digit off. I have been told the G6 actually has some parts that interchange onto a Cobalt! A junkyard claimed the G6 engine wiring is the same as a Cobalt/G5 and maybe so?,(and I have never checked) but I am pretty sure almost everything else is different.

A once $1900 winning bid cost me $3300 to get a car to me after copart fees and shipping from across the state. Sooooo keep that in mind on copart and auction sites.

Copart's fees are crazy, I just won an auction for $375 and the total with fees was 727 and I picked it up at the lot.
